Nationwide Bancor is a multi-branch, full service Mortgage Loan Brokerage.
Whereas many less experienced mortgage brokers claim to specialize in whatever a customer needs at the time, Nationwide specializes in one thing, and one thing only; mortgage refinances. And we think we are good at it.
Our experienced loan officers will offer you many choices when it comes to refinancing. Not the loan that is easiest for them, but the loan choices that are best for your circumstances.
For example, we can often show you how to avoid having to pay for private mortgage insurance (PMI) when financing more than 80% of your home's value. We can also structure "jumbo" financing with lower rate Fannie Mae (FNMA) loans to avoid the higher rate that comes with jumbo loans (loans higher than the federally mandated Fannie Mae limit). In addition, where appropriate, we can show you how to get the greatest benefit out of a debt consolidation loan.
Our loan officers can discuss the pros and cons of a 30-year fixed rate loan versus a less expensive 30-year loan that has a fixed rate for the first two, three, five or seven years. (Helpful hint: the longer the fixed rate period of a loan, the more costly it is, so don't take a fixed rate period for longer than you reasonably need).
A majority of our customers are what is known in the mortgage business as "sub-prime" borrowers. This does not mean that they are bad people. It means that they have had some credit problems due to circumstances beyond their control. Nationwide Bancor has lending relationships with more than thirty lenders that make loans to people who cannot qualify for Fannie Mae conforming loans. This means that if you cannot qualify for a conforming loan, we may still be able to provide you with a 30-year fixed rate loan that is less than 6½%
Nationwide does not charge "up-front" fees and we always confirm the interest rate, total closing costs, monthly payments and the entire loan structure in writing before we go forward with your loan.
